This is directed at the store in Kent Washington?. They have some very nice furniture and some very good prices:. But do not expect any customer service after the sale/. Once they have your money they don't care/. I do not understand why they do not want return business?. I will never buy anything from them again and will tell my story to anyone that will listen.. The General Manger is Rich Elsberry and he should be very proud of his customer service skills by stopping any return customer possibilities'. I even called the Corporate offices in California and was greeted with a cold response!. There is no reason to be upset though, in these ecomomic times the store will wither away soon. 2cd1381

The quality of my furniture makes me believe that they are the "blems" of other companys. When I complained of staples protruding from the material of my couch, they "repaired" it. It was returned wiyh many of the same staples protruding. The couch was lumpy and misshappen. I bought it and a dining room set late in the year and after I got the holidays over called and requested they look at the poor workmanship. It was a joke. I was told that others had been sickend by the odor of the wood pieces, that the smell was "normal" and that I should call and complain at the end of the next year about the saggy seat cushions as they would replace them then. I would never purchase anything from them again and steer anyone that I can away from them.

Well, I guess I should have done a little more research before I purchased a dining set from Mor. They came highly recommended by a friend here in Bakersfield, CA however I am, to put in mildly, less than happy.

I was supposed to get my dining set Thursday, they were a no show and the driver actually called me at 1am to ask me if I wanted to reschedule (1 in the morning seriously?). I went down to the store after trying with no success to get through to customer service by phone the next day.

One of the floor managers there was very nice and rescheduled the delivery and refunded the delivery fee to me as well. Feeling slightly better I was excited to get my dining set. That excitement quickly faded.

The furniture was delivered Friday but the table was missing a piece and was unable to be assembled. I was told they would call me Saturday and schedule a delivery time for the missing piece and assemble the table later that day.

I never received a call, I called them early afternoon and was told it would be later that day. I called again around 5pm and was told I would get a call right back. Surprise that didn't happen either. I called this morning and I was again told they will contact the warehouse and call me back.

I have a table base with bolts sticking out the top and a tabletop on the floor, just a little unsafe with kids. I will wait till this afternoon and will head down to the local store again. I want the piece or I want to give the whole dam set back. That's what I told customer service on the phone and in the email I sent as well.

They have decent furniture at reasonable prices but I have to agree the customer service is severely lacking.

They have lost my future business. I would say if you have to shop there then arrange for pickup cause they charge 80 bucks for delivery and don't deliver.

I have to say, I read all of the below comments prior to attempting to return a cocktail table that had fogging in the finish. I even came armed with a printed list of these very complaints when loading up my table to return it. I too agree their phone customer service needs a tremendous amount of help, as well as their tech's which arrived at my home to take pictures and returned to Mor to 'agree' with management there was no damage. When I called to tell them I was bringing the table back and wanted the manager to tell me to my face he saw no damage to the finish, they encouraged me to do so and I did. When I arrived, the floor manager was EXCEPTIONALLY accomodating. I was honestly shocked. He not only agreed that the floor model showed identical damage, he simply asked me what I'd like to do or how he could help and when I replied I'd like a refund he said, "It's done." Michael at the Kent, WA store took amazingly good care of me. I told him that I had this list of complaints, and after taking care of me, I would return the favor by telling a good story of Mor Furniture as I do believe there are many out there that go unreported. I will say the quality of the table I purchased was not exceptional, but you get what you pay for. The stores slogan is "Furniture for Less". Some of their pieces are not high end, and again - I feel compelled to say, you get what you pay for. But my damaged table was returned and refunded without issue. The processing time for many companies in a return can be 2 to 4 weeks, so I expect some delay. But they did what they could for me as a customer, and I appreciate that tremendously. Today, they earned my respect.

We were thinking of go to Mor to look for a dresser drawer..but after reading all of these negative feedbacks..forget it! Sounds like this company needs a major shakeup in customer service.

Some of you are ridiculous! The people that complain about fraying and sofas wearing quickly and all that are generally very overweight people, or people who have pets or young kids who trash their items. Then they complain and expect MOR to take care of it. Take some personal responsibility!!! As for the return policy...You are given paperwork with the fact that there is NOT a return policy IN BOLD LETTERS!! Again take personal responsibility. If you are a fat slob who eats all over your sofa, dont complain when 3 weeks later its all junked!

I guess I'm lucky because I was able to cancel the purchase from a Portland, Oregon store before delivery. When my new sofa was a week overdue, I struggled thru their "customer dis-service" only to find out that the salesman had written down my phone number wrong. The delivery folks didn't bother to look up my name in the phone book, or call information, or send me a post card requesting a correct phone number, or have one of their delivery folks actually drop by my house and leave a note. For this "service" you are expected to pay extra!!

This place is a joke! If you call their corporate office to file a complaint, you'll learn that the lone fella who answers the "customer service" line is running a one-man-shop. You'll never hear from anyone in any type of authoritative position. They're all careless. And PLEASE don't POLITELY confront them about one of their mistakes because they'll treat you as if you're the mistake, and delegate all the steps needed to remedy the problem to you. How do I know this? Well it happened to me last weekend...they instructed me to call customer service to make my own arrangements after they failed to do their job, and guess what ladies and gents, customer service had to put me on hold to call them back to do what they refused to do A LESS THAN FIVE MINUTE TASK. I'll be calling them back to inform them of my disinterest in the $1100.00 in merchandise that I've been waiting for. They're all a lazy group of people, so what better way to accommodate the lazy than to offer them a piece that they can sit comfortably around and continue on their path of lameness?

We will NEVER buy from Mor again. The service in Albuquerque store sucks. I started complaining about the problems with the furniture we bought 8 months after we bought it. The first 3 service appointments they did not keep. Then they scheduled us from 5 to 7 on a Saturday evening. We already had plans so I told them no. Then I get a phone call saying they would be there on Tuesday. No show again. Then we got another phone call saying they would be there on the following Friday. Guess what. No show again. The furniture is cheap, service sucks, or should I say isn't there. Then I sent them an email asking if I could ever get this crap fixed. Next I get a phone call from this guy as Mor customer service explaining how they want to fix the problem. Of course no service is scheduled. He wants me to take pictures of the furniture and email it to him. He was suppose to send me an email to return the pics. Never got it. Tried to send the pic's to the email he gave me to send them to. Take a guess. Dead email. These people get your money and don't care about anything else. I'm working on a big window sticker for the back of my car.
